Priyanka Ahnberg
Security Engineer – TechWhat led you to choose the path of Security Engineering?
I became a Security Engineer because I believe in the importance of protecting people, businesses, and data. In today's digital world, cybersecurity isn't just about technology - it’s about trust. I want to help organizations build secure environments where employees and customers can feel safe. Being a Security Engineer gives me the opportunity to use my technical skills to make a real impact and contribute to a safer digital world.
How did that journey lead you to Kivra?
Kivra is a well-known brand in Sweden with a significant impact on a large portion of the Swedish population, so I felt it was a perfect fit for my passions and interests, offering an opportunity to contribute to building a secure digital future for millions.

What do you think can be done to encourage more women to pursue a career in tech? What has your experience been in this area?
I believe early exposure and education is needed. Introduce coding programs in schools targeted at young girls (kids in general). Mentorship & Networking - a support system is needed. Last but not the least; Inclusive hiring & workplace culture is important.
Tell me briefly about your journey at Kivra so far.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on improving the company’s security posture through a mix of proactive threat hunting, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and embedding security principles into the development process.
