iOS Engineer
Do you want to build the Kivra identity wallet with us?
Come join us at Kivra! We’re looking for people with a passion for software development, love solving problems, and that thrive in agile development environments. We are looking for an iOS engineer that can turn the Kivra app into an identity wallet. You’ll be part of the Kivra Identity team and engineer next generation technology around authentication and identity verification.
At Kivra, we are building services that connect over 6 million people by providing a safe and accessible digital infrastructure that everyone in Sweden can trust and use. At the same time, we are saving trees with a better digital alternative to physical paper communication.
What you’ll be doing
As an iOS engineer in the Identity team, you will develop an identity wallet allowing people to own and control all aspects of themselves. We value security, reliability, and user experience high, and it will be central to the work you do.
You will join a highly experienced cross functional team with end-to-end responsibility of identity functionality and systems. You will be the lead engineer for the iOS identity software and collaborate frequently with your Android counterpart to ensure consistent functionality and integration into the Kivra app. You will also be a member of the iOS engineering community ensuring quality and alignment of functionality across all Kivra product teams.
Kivra currently has over 6 million users, and over 50,000 companies and organizations send documents, invoices, doctor appointments, vaccine certificates, receipts, pay slips, contracts and much more. And this number is constantly increasing. Next up is to offer all these users a digital identity, where they can identify themselves and sign-in to services.
Engineering the identity wallet capabilities in Kivra goes beyond UX, data and HTTP. It is a matter of developing security features, authentication, and signing. We are looking for you who don’t only enjoy app engineering from a touchscreen-in-your-pocket perspective, but also for the device’s native capabilities such as NFC, camera, bluetooth, deeplinks and secure enclave.
Kivra has adopted the Devops Methodology and strongly believes in the “You build it - you own it”-attitude. You will be actively involved in developing, testing, deploying and managing incidents, contributing to the overall success of the team.
What we are looking for
Knowledge is important but so is attitude! Kivra’s culture is strongly influenced by kindness, drive and the desire to produce high-quality work. How you fit in with your team is super important, and just like us, we believe that you thrive on being nice, helpful and always encouraging growth.
This job is for you who provide:
Deep experience in Swift, SwiftUI and related frameworks.
Openness to cross platform frameworks and willingness to contribute using other adopted technologies such as Typescript and Kotlin.
Contribution to CI/CD workflow engineering and test automation.
A thoughtful approach to testing and troubleshooting with a zero-bug mindset.
An interest in thinking beyond just code - caring about how things fit together as a whole.
Clear communication, technical judgment, and a high signal-to-noise ratio.
Bonus points for experience with authentication, app security and various iOS native capabilities.
Extra credit if you’ve worked with decentralized identity, verifiable credentials, mobile driving license or related technologies.
Moreover we believe that you:
Are a do-er that gets excited about developing new ideas and proposing innovative solutions
Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal and professional strengths as well as address new development areas
Can collaborate with other product teams to help and provide the best end-user experience
Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
Use straightforward feedback, in a structured and constructive way, when communicating with others
Seek opportunities to automate and document your work
We value previous experience in agile methodology and that you enjoy working within all aspects of agile development. To solve problems we strive to pair-program when possible and we think that you have the same mindset. Just like us, you are passionate about your craft and take ownership over your own development.
We offer
Kivra offers a role in a caring and committed team, in a company that is growing and continuously innovating. You’ll join a warm and friendly culture that thrives on collaboration and teamwork. You will be involved in shaping and influencing a product currently used by more than half of Sweden’s population.
We offer competitive remuneration and great benefits. Read more about our core values and benefits here: https://jobs.kivra.dev/!

About Kivra AB
Kivra is a better place for viktigheter. It was 2011, and things were as they’ve always been. Trees became pulp that became bills and flyers. The mail was picked up in small cars and then driven out to small post boxes – just as they always were. But wait a second. Was there really no better way, a bunch of digital innovators asked themselves. There was. They founded Kivra, which soon became something much bigger. We’ve evolved from a digital mailbox to a one stop shop for your important stuff. But it doesn’t end there. Along with our main owners 41 Invest and FAM, we’re constantly finding new smart ways to improve life – for you, society and nature.
