Cloud Engineer
Ready to build a sustainable digitalt infrastructure with us?
Cloud Engineer
Join us at Kivra! At Kivra, we are building services that connect over 6 million people with more than 50 000 senders in both the private and public sector. We provide a safe and accessible digital infrastructure that everyone in Sweden can trust and use.
We are now looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer with an enthusiastic mindset to join our Cloud team. This team is a core part of our Platform Engineering domain, which is the heart of Kivra. The domain itself comprises four teams, each with a different focus area, all dedicated to building and supporting the large, scalable platform for all our services. This platform provides distributed systems that handle all our data with great reliability and security.
What you'll do
You'll play a key role in Kivras Cloud team, where you will work alongside great colleagues and be a driving force for developing, maintaining and improving the GCP infrastructure, as well as have an advisory role towards the rest of the organization in explaining the architecture and system solutions. You will develop, take ownership and drive implementation of new tools in order to make our cloud infrastructure more efficient as well as maintain and improve our current environment. And always with a focus on the security and stability of our services!
Our technology buzzword bingo; :
Hybrid cloud based on Google Cloud Platform and on-prem Kubernetes platform
Containers for all (well, almost all) workloads
Automation and provisioning using ArgoCD, Terraform and Crossplane
Google LB, KrakenD
Prometheus, Sentry, Pagerduty, Grafana Cloud, Cloud logs,Loki
Erlang and Golang backend services
PostgreSQL and Redis databases
Kafka and Cloud Pub/Sub
Required skills
Who you are and how you fit the team is super important. We thrive on being nice and helpful to each other and to the rest of the company!
But to have fun at Kivra you also need to have strong skills in Google Cloud Platform, Platform Engineering, Linux, Enterprise level IT system management and automation (e.g. Crossplane/Terraform) paired with an equally strong sense of service. You have worked with Cloud Engineering, CI/CD and Devops for some years now and are therefore well versed in working in various types of cloud environments. You like taking technical ownership over the things you build and, to quote ourselves, “always with a focus on the security and stability of our services''.
Desired skills
Previous experience working with Kubernetes and Terraform is a must. Moreover, a solid understanding of containers and container orchestration would make you an even stronger candidate.
The role also gives you the opportunity to specialize even more in the cloud environment and be our internal spokesperson for its best practices. We are looking for someone with a strong skill set and past experience within our tech stack. We have a very warm and friendly culture and we expect you to take part in that naturally. We thrive on collaboration and teamwork, we expect personal initiatives and love strong opinions based on facts.
We offer
Kivra offers a place in a committed team with the opportunity for a high degree of innovation. You will be involved in influencing Kivra's exciting business and product development of a service that is currently used by more than half of Sweden's population. We offer the flexibility that life sometimes requires, but we believe that collaboration and value creation happens best when we sit and work together from our office in central Stockholm. Moreover, please note that this role requires Swedish citizenship, as it involves access to systems and information subject to national security regulations.
We offer competitive remuneration and great benefits. Read more about our core values and benefits here: https://jobs.kivra.dev/!

About Kivra AB
Kivra is a better place for viktigheter. It was 2011, and things were as they’ve always been. Trees became pulp that became bills and flyers. The mail was picked up in small cars and then driven out to small post boxes – just as they always were. But wait a second. Was there really no better way, a bunch of digital innovators asked themselves. There was. They founded Kivra, which soon became something much bigger. We’ve evolved from a digital mailbox to a one stop shop for your important stuff. But it doesn’t end there. Along with our main owners 41 Invest and FAM, we’re constantly finding new smart ways to improve life – for you, society and nature.
