Backend Engineer Platform Team
Vill du bygga en hållbar, digital infrastruktur?
Are you our next Backend Engineer to the Platform Team?
Join us at Kivra! We are looking for people with passion for software development, love solving problems, and thrive in agile development environments. We have grown tremendously and are looking for backend developers to help us scale!
At Kivra, we are building services that connect over 5 million people by providing a safe and accessible digital infrastructure that everyone in Sweden can trust and use. At the same time, we are saving trees - reducing the paper that is printed and transported - by providing a better digital alternative to physical paper communication.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll join Kivra's Platform Team, which builds and maintains core services of the Kivra platform in close collaboration with other development teams. Our services handle the "important stuff" of over 5 million Kivra users, and process large amounts of data, events and transactions in a secure, reliable, and scalable fashion. As part of your daily work, you will:
Build "paved path" solutions to simplify development and operations for other dev teams
Build and maintain core services and libraries using Go, Erlang, Elixir, and Python
Maintain and improve Kivra's central API Gateways and Riak cluster
Evaluate open-source technologies and integrate them into our existing tech stack
Participate in systems architecture discussions in collaboration with the InfraSec Team
Tools and technologies we're using include Go, Erlang, Elixir, Python, KrakenD, Kafka, Postgres, Riak, Splunk, Grafana, Docker, GCP, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub and more.
What we’re looking for
Knowledge is important, but so is attitude! Kivra's culture is strongly influenced by kindness, drive, and the willingness to produce high-quality work. How you fit in with your team is super important for us - we thrive on being nice and helpful and always encourage growth.
We think that you:
Are a humble team player who's excited to build secure, reliable, and scalable systems
Can collaborate with and provide guidance to other dev teams
Have strong programming skills in either Go, Erlang, Elixir, or Python
Are curious about technology and prefer using open-source technologies if possible
Have a solid understanding of DevOps best practices or are interested to learn more
Seek opportunities to automate your work
We offer
Kivra offers a role in a caring and committed team, in a company that is growing and continuously innovating. You’ll join a warm and friendly culture that thrives on collaboration and teamwork. You will be involved in shaping and influencing a product currently used by more than half of Sweden’s population.
We offer competitive remuneration and great benefits. We offer remote work anywhere within the EU, however, you are always welcome to join us in our vibrant office in central Stockholm.
